Impressionistic Bouquets in Watercolor

Learn the techniques to create luscious and loose impressionistic paintings of bouquets.  The class will include demonstrations in “dropping paint,” silhouetting and negative painting.  Some watercolor experience is recommended for this class.

Ages: Adult (15+) / Some experience in watercolor

Supply list: 

  • 4 eye droppers
  • 140 lb cold press Arches watercolor paper 9” x 12” or larger (Artist grade watercolor paper such as Arches is necessary for this technique)
  • Your watercolor pallet
  • No 6 and No 8 round watercolor brush
  • ½” or 1” flat brush
  • Graphite or mechanical pencil
  • Kneaded eraser
  • 2 plastic water containers
  • Roll of paper towels
