Virtual Summer Art Camp: Color and Pattern
10 am - noon
This weekly summer art series introduces students to a diverse group of contemporary America artists represented in the World Stage exhibition. Each week we will focus on three artists and will explore themes found in the exhibition and techniques inspired by the artists. This week’s theme is Color and Pattern and will focus on the work of artists Mark Bradford, Willie Cole and Mickalene Thomas.
This virtual art camp will be held online through Zoom. Camp will meet Tuesday – Thursday from 10 am – noon. An art kit is included with your registration and can be picked up at the Museum in on a Monday, July 13 from 10 am – 5 pm. Please email claire.munoz@nevadaart.org if an alternate pick up is needed. If you are outside the region and need a kit mailed to you (please provide 10 days notice for mail time). While the camp will be held virtually, your registration will include admission to the Museum for you and your family for the week of your chosen camp and we encourage you to visit! In addition to the provided art kit, please have the following supplies available each day: pencil, scissors, glue stick, ruler.
