Virtual Summer Art Camp: People and Places
10 am - 12 pm
This weekly summer art series introduces students to a diverse group of contemporary America artists represented in the World Stage exhibition. Each week we will focus on three artists and will explore themes found in the exhibition and techniques inspired by the artists. This week’s theme is “People and Places” and will focus on the work of artists Romare Beardon, Jacob Almstead Lawrence and Caitlin Cherry.
This virtual art camp will be held online through Zoom. Camp will meet Tuesday – Thursday from 10 am – noon. An art kit is included with your registration and can be picked up at the Museum in advance. Please email claire.munoz@nevadaart.org if you are outside the region and need a kit mailed to you (need 10 days notice). While the camp will be held virtually, your registration will include admission to the Museum for you and your family for the week of your chosen camp and we encourage you to visit! In addition to the provided art kit, please have the following supplies available each day: pencil, scissors, glue stick, ruler.
