Sewing Basics: Grocery Totes Workshop

Never forget your grocery bag again! In this workshop, students will make a one-of-a-kind grocery tote. The instructor will guide students through the process on making a tote that will suit all your needs. Made with industrial fabric, these double-sided totes will be sturdy, stylish and of course life and planet saving. Some knowledge of sewing is needed. 

Note: The Museum School will have a limited number of Singer Brilliant 6180 sewing machines for students to use but you are welcome to bring your own if you prefer.

Supply List: 

  • 1 yard of fabric for the exterior part of the bag
  • 1 yard of fabric for the interior part of the bag
  • Fusible interfacing with matching thread
