Summer Art Camp for Kids: Native Nevada

Kids ages 7 – 12 will have fun exploring a variety of art mediums in this fun and interactive camp. Over this five-day camp, participants will have the opportunity to hand-build clay sculptures, paint mini-masterpieces and sketch in the Museum galleries. A daily snack and all materials are included with registration.

Each week we will focus on three artists and will explore themes found in the exhibition and techniques inspired by the artists. This week’s theme is “People and Places” and will focus on the work of artists Romare Beardon, Jacob Almstead Lawrence and Caitlin Cherry.

This virtual art camp will be held online through Zoom. Camp will meet Tuesday – Thursday from 10 am – noon. An art kit is included with your registration and can be picked up at the Museum in advance.
