Spring Break Camp: Fun with Clay
Kids ages 7 – 11 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay. Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture. In this 5 day camp, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class. All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. All materials and a mid-camp snack are provided.

Teens ages 12– 15 will explore the basics of Procreate on the Museum’s iPad Pros as they work on story-boarding, character design and animation in this after school series. Students will also have an opportunity to learn drawing fundamentals and techniques that can be applied to all forms of drawing. A snack and all materials are included with registration.

Students will also have an opportunity to explore and sketch using the iPads in the Museum’s galleries while looking for inspiration for their own work. A snack and all materials are included with registration.

Winter Break Camp: Engineer Your Imagination: S.T.E.A.M for Curious Minds
Students age 7 – 11 will expand their skills in critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration while exploring the intersection between science, technology, engineering, art, and math in this dynamic camp. Through the process of creating art, students will experiment in physics, circuitry, electronics and so much more! Students will engage in hands-on activities that are designed to challenge them to discover, plan, build, investigate and analyze, so they can continue to grow to become fearless creators and innovators. All supplies and a mid-camp snack are provided.

Fall Break Camp: Introduction to Mixed Media
Students will become fearless creators as we explore the world of mixed media! Under the instructor’s guidance, students’ creative process is nurtured through learning basic techniques in painting, collage, and printmaking. Emphasis will be on combining creative techniques in mediums and using materials in innovative ways to create works of art. Through the understanding of the elements of art and the principles of design, students will leave the camp with foundational skills to create and engage in art around them. Snack and materials are provided.
