Kids’ Corner: Intro to Digital Art and Illustration

Kids ages 7 – 11 will explore the basics of Procreate on the Museum’s iPad Pros as they work on storyboarding, character design and animation in this after school series. Students will also have the opportunity to learn drawing fundamentals and techniques that can be applied to all forms of drawing. All materials and snack are provided.

Using color and shape, this class will focus on a different style of painting each day. Students will learn new techniques and create a different piece of art each day ranging from lifelike to abstract. Students will learn the foundations of drawing and color theory which can be applied to various practices and mediums in art.

Throughout this course, students will be introduced to contemporary and pop artists known for their work in these mediums. The skills learned in this class will help students understand the basics for future artistic endeavors. All supplies and a mid-class snack are provided.
