Adobe Lightroom Classic CC is quickly becoming the go to application for photographers of any experience level, but so many photographers are not using the application to the fullest potential. There are also features of Lightroom Classic CC that are best left to other applications, and those work arounds will be shown in class. From tethered shooting to advanced Develop module techniques, this class with get new Lightroom Classic CC users up and running, and advanced users taking advantage of features that will save time, and reduce frustration.

Supply list: Students need to have a laptop with Lightroom Classic already install on the computer before class starts. Older versions of Lightroom will work, Lightroom 5 & 6, but some new features will not be available to students. Do be aware that there are two versions of Lightroom currently offered by Adobe, Lightroom , and Lightroom Classic. This class will be taught using the Classic version. If you have any questions please do not hesitate in asking. Files for the class will take up 6-8 GB of space, and students should have that amount of space free on their computers if they want to work along with the instructor.
Macro Photography
Get close to your subjects, see details that you never new existed, and open up whole new avenues of photography with macro lens technology. Macro photography is one of the few forms of photography that shows the world in a way that the human eye cannot see, and creates a whole new field of subjects that a photographer can capture, like plants, bugs, and textures.
This course will teach you the basics of macro photography, equipment required, and techniques to capture the best images possible. The first session of class will walk students through gear, techniques and workflow for best possible results when capturing macro subjects.
The second session of class will be the following week, giving students time to rent or purchase equipment, and will be on location. This will give students time to find and work with their own subjects, and well as have hands on instruction.
Class Prerequisites: Basic DSLR
Required Gear: Students need to bring their cameras, lenses, charged batteries and manuals to class. A tripod is recommended by not required. A dedicated macro lens, or a lens with macro features is recommend for the second session of class.

Students will learn the different ways to compose landscapes, still life’s and people, while also learning different techniques such as High Dynamic Range (HDR), panoramic stitching, long exposures, proper posing for people, working with photo filters and lighting terminology.

Photography Techniques
This class will be hosted virtually. Registered students will be given a self-paced video for week one with an assignment. The following four weeks will meet live on Zoom and will explore photography techniques. Each week will focus on a new topic including composition, color, scale and light. Weekly Zoom meeting will include demos as well as group critiques. Students will use the week in between classes to shoot independently while focusing on the current topic. Students will submit via email two to three images per week to the instructor for inclusion in the weekly class review.

Students need own a camera that has manual control over ISO, shutter speed and aperture and interchangeable lenses.
A tripod is recommended but not required.
