Summer Camp: Fun with Clay

Monday – Friday, July 9 – 13 / 8:30 am – noon

Kids ages 7 – 12 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay.  Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture.  In this 5 day camp, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class.  All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. Snack and materials are included.

Kids’ Corner: After-School Art Adventures

Kids ages 7 – 12 will have fun exploring a variety of art mediums in this fun and interactive four-week series. Students will have an opportunity to practice and improve on their painting and drawing skills, will be introduced to printing techniques and will enjoy exploring the Museum’s galleries.  A snack and all materials are included with registration.

Kids ages 7 – 12 will have fun practicing and improving on their drawing skills, while developing story lines and comic book characters in this mixed media class. Students will also have an opportunity to explore and sketch in the Museum’s galleries while looking for inspiration for their own work.  A snack and all materials are included with registration.
