Students will also have an opportunity to explore and sketch using the iPads in the Museum’s galleries while looking for inspiration for their own work. CANCELED: Kids ages 7 – 12 will have fun exploring the tactile nature of clay.  Instruction will encompass basic hand building, throwing on the wheel, and sculpture.  In this 5 day camp, students will learn about the basics of pottery, glazing and the transformation of their pieces from the heat of kiln. This will be a fun and educational class.  All works will be fired in the Museums’ kiln. Snack and materials are included.

CANCELED: The Growing Artist Series is designed for young artists ages 2 – 6 and their parents. On the third Saturday of each month, children will be encouraged to create art alongside their adult. Each month offers an exploration of different art mediums and basic art skills, introducing little ones to the building blocks of art that will provide a solid foundation for future art lovers and artists.  This unique creative experience places an emphasis on having fun while exploring. This class is an open studio “drop-in” format to accommodate short attention spans, but registration is required.
