871 Fine Arts is a San Francisco art gallery and art bookstore specializing in out-of-print materials that has been in business since 1986.
Scope and Content
The archive consists of ephemeral material purchased by the Center for Art + Environment from 871 Fine Arts, a gallery that specializes in out-of-print materials. Materials include the exhibition announcements including the first Earthworks exhibition held by Dwan Gallery, Cristo’s 1985 Pont Neuf project announcement, and correspondence between Chicago MOCA and Marcel Duchamp and Walter De Maria in 1967and 1968, respectively.
