Turning Pages: A Monthly Reading Group
Escape into the era of Victorian Radicals: From the Pre-Raphaelites to the Arts & Crafts Movement through Victorian literature. This month and next, this online book club will discuss North and South by Elizabeth Haskell, following the story of Margaret Hale, a young woman from southern England who is forced to move north after her father leaves the clergy. There she witnesses the changes wrought by the Industrial Revolution, seeing employers and workers clashing in the first strikes.
Please note that we will discuss the second half of the novel during this program, hosted on Zoom. All participants from the April 13th program will be automatically registered for the second discussion. For registration support or questions, email christian.davies@nevadaart.org.
