Friends of Nevada Museum of Art

Volunteerism is foundational to the Nevada Museum of Art. Beginning in 1931, a cadre of landscape painters known as the Latimer Art Club became the founding volunteer organization behind the Nevada Art Gallery – now the Nevada Museum of Art.

The Museum continues to benefit from this vision with a dedicated corps of volunteers called Friends of Nevada Museum of Art. From staffing the Shop and admissions desk to installation support and administrative assistance, Friends provide more than $125K of in-kind human resources each year. With over 150 volunteers ranging from docents to trustees, Friends of Nevada Museum of Art works in support of the Museum’s continued advancement.
