Art and Wellness at the Nevada Museum of Art
Art and Wellness at the Nevada Museum of Art will provide participants with a platform for self-expression, will provide a sense of community and will encourage individuals to develop daily practices inspired by art to explore mindfulness and self-reflection as they undergo and their cancer treatments.
In consultation with Dr. Suresh Reddy, a Reno-based oncologist, Christine LaCasse Kaplan, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker specializing in oncology and art therapy, and local artist and educator, Carroll Charlet, the Museum is launching this 12-month pilot program to include hands-on facilitated art-making sessions.
Open to all levels and abilities. No art experience necessary. Pre-registration required.
