Making Paintbrushes with Natural Materials

Learn how to create your own paintbrushes using a variety of natural materials. Crafting your own paintbrushes allows you to create a wide range of textures and qualities with your brushstrokes. Students will create the handle from clay or bamboo shoots and experiment with textures created by an assortment of natural bristles.

Supply List:

Please bring a variety of potential bristles from home.
Suggestions: twine, feathers, pipe cleaners, plant fibers, flowers, animal hair, human hair, string, wire, twigs etc.

All other supplies provided by the instructor.
