Miniature Pine Needle Baskets – Part II

Sunday, October 18 / 10 am – 2 pm

This workshop is designed for students who have completed the first part of “Miniature Pine Needle Baskets.” Continuing students will have the opportunity to complete a work in progress or start a new miniature basket. Special instruction will include direction on completing a lid using natural materials. Students will learn from the basket making tradition of Audrey Frank’s native Nevadan Washoe/Paiute culture. Lidded baskets will combine pine needles, sinew and raffia in this one-day workshop.

Pre-requisite: Audrey Frank’s September Pine Needle Basket Workshop

Required Supplies: Small sewing scissors, small hand towel/dishtowel. Please bring your work in progress. Instructor will provide raffia, pine needles, thread.
