Printmaking: 2 Color Linoleum Block Prints
10 am - 4 pm
Contemporary linoleum block printing is an exciting, economical, and accessible alternative to traditional woodblock printmaking. Students will learn to create two color prints, hone carving skills, register multiple layers, use a press, and print by hand. This more involved process will require students to have experience with single color printmaking. Students must have taken Intro to Printmaking: Linoleum Block Prints. Class time will be dedicated to demonstrations of techniques, and ample working time with one-on-one instruction. Students should bring in photographs for inspiration or choose from the instructors pre-made ideas. All other materials such as inks, paper, blocks, and carving tools are provided and included with your registration.
