In this advanced watercolor class, students will refine their skills by learning to paint a radiant rainbow with wet in wet techniques. Designed for those with prior watercolor experience, this session delves into color blending, precise layering, and nuanced brushwork to capture the delicate transitions and vivid spectrum of a rainbow. Join this class to learn how to render the soft transitions and vivid hues that make a rainbow so enchanting.

- Watercolor pallet including:
- Indigo or Payne’s gray
- Ultramarine or Phthalo blue
- cerulean blue
- purple
- cadmium red
- yellow
- Variety of watercolor brushes including:
- mop brush or any large brush to wet your paper quickly
- 1” flat
- #6 or # 8 round
- #12 or #14 round
- Rigger brush
- Several sheets of 100% cotton cold press 140 lb watercolor paper (9”x12” or larger); any 100% cotton brands will work (Arches, Bockingford, Daler Rowney, Bee Paper, Winsor Newton)
- Graphite or mechanical pencil
- Kneaded eraser
- Tracing paper
- Spray or mister bottle
- Roll of paper towels
